Details
Basil Essential Oil can be used in the presence of a common cold. It is considered anti-bacterial/anti-viral by some and may act as an expectorant. It may promote alertness and mental focus & is said to be anticatarrhal, antidepressive, energizing and restorative. It is mostly used for cardiovascular, muscular, and joint support, but what makes the essential oil so much more powerful than the leaves is the potency. The compounds found in the oil of the steam distilled leaves, stems, and flowers is much greater than what we find in dried or even fresh leaves.
